Letting the pencil travel where it wants. I like drawing because it rides that flow between focus and play. Subtle impulses turn into imagery... Engulfed in the creative slipstream I witness the image unfold... I almost forget I drew anything at all...
As a kid I found escape through drawing. Image making was a way to harness the swirling thoughts needing an outlet. A kind of splatter painting of mind stuff (hence the Mindgasm monicker).
Where do you go when you make art? Do you find catharsis and escape there? Or is it highly technical and structured?
