Om Nama Shivaya... Is Shiva known as the embodiment of destruction or peace? Or both? 💥🤔🧿
As the patron god of Yoga (the first Mahasiddha), and true meditation, Shiva protects and transforms the universe and is an embodiment of pure masculinity. What Shiva destroys is the ignorance of the attachments to this world, the ego, the remnants of our belief that we are beyond cause & effect and impervious to karma (the results of action).
Shiva is part of the triumvirate of Hindu gods (along with Brahma & Vishnu) and of the 3 is known to be the most powerful. 🖤🏔️
Partner to Devi Parvati and father to Lord Kartikeya and Lord Ganesha Shiva is symbolic of Moksha (full liberation) through one's Tapas (inner fire from Yogic practices.) He guides creation to transcend this world into eternally awake pure consciousness from which everything and everyone emerges. He is also the embodiment of unperturbed silence of the unmanifest, that ever attentive quality of consciousness that resides in us all.
~Om Nama Shivaya – Chanting 54 or 108 times a day for a deeper connection to the silent, witnessing, transcendent aspect of life.
