Coyote is a trickster in many cultures and folk traditions around the world, but especially from the Native Americans on this continent. The spirit of this mischievous canine can help remind you to not take things too seriously and bring more balance between wisdom and playfulness.

Coyote is often associated with deep magic of life & creation, and is considered to reveal the truth behind illusion and chaos, as well as extremely adaptable and paradoxical in nature.

The way of the coyote is almost never straightforward, and reveals itself through hidden wisdom or helping you change your perspective about an issue that has been on your mind. Either way, you can call on Coyote whenever you need to refresh your perspective and lighten the weight of circumstances. Call on the coyote to reinvigorate an appreciation of life’s wisdom through diversity and richness. This animal totem provides his teaching with a good sense of humor.

Often in Indigenous American tales, Coyote is a creator, teacher and keeper of magic. Often being represented as a trickster god, that appears when you are ready for your next phase of growth. Often Coyote will teach through humor, or force you to see the humor of the situation, even at the expense of one's pride (often especially so, though rarely in a direct way).

"...it is now your time to break free. You already know what you have to do. The decision is made inside you. All that remains is the action, so leap now, with your eyes wide open. Leap and laugh and sing out with the craziness of your heart’s deepest longing…" – Richard Rudd, The Dream Arc
