The best stuff comes when we least expect it. In leaving room open for abstraction to seep in and transition into thoughts, if we are patient it might be a stroke of brilliance that you are.
I love the notion "Genius" doesn't arrive at one's doorstep at random. That in order to happen across good ideas, we need to first show up, on a regular basis. That showing up is like a ritual we dedicate to bringing things into the world that we'd like to see. And eventually, if we're lucky that genius will visit more often, and even take the wheel entirely.
To be versed in these strokes of brilliance was once called being "well daemoned" or eudaimonia was the term for "Good Sprit." The daemon was the spirit we could enliven for great creativity and inspiration.
Eudaimonia: Eu meaning ‘good’ and daimon, meaning ‘guardian spirit’.
That to me is the role of art, a pursuit of being in a creative flow that feels effortless and cathartic to the creator. And of course in doing so, possibly better the world in some way.
